Plastic Jar
A plastic jar is a large, almost cylindrical container made up of plastic. They contain an opening that is almost the same width and size as that of the remaining part of the jar. Because of their neck designs (wide), they are capable of storing up thicker substances such as hard liquids e.g. gels and even minor rigid liquids. This enables them to be able to store up both liquids and solids very well without any problem. They are also easier to stack up due to their flat top surfaces, which make them stack conceivable.
Apart from the usual cylindrical shape of the plastic jars, they can also be made into other various shapes and sizes. There are various uses of this plastic jar, which you will get to know below:

Recycling of a Plastic Jar
If you want your plastic jar to last forever, then you might want to consider
recycling them. This is because putting them in a landfill can make them
last for thousand of years but recycling them can make them last forever
in various forms. Little do people know about the recycling process of
their plastic jar. The process includes the following;
• The plastic jars
to be recycled are transported to a recovery facility where the good ones
are then separated from the bad ones. The bad ones are either thrown out
or transported to another recycling company, which is capable of handling
them.
• The plastic jar is then crushed under a great pressure and then transformed
into what is known as bales, which weigh about 1000 pounds. These bales
can either be processed further or sold out to manufacturing companies
who might require them.
• These plastic jars still contain paints, labels, glues and other materials
attached to them, so they have to be removed to purify them and to prevent
contamination. They are shred into pieces and small chips before the cleaning
process begins.
• Once it is cleaned, they are dried and then melted. After melting them,
they are turned into what is known as nurdles. It is these nurdles that
is sold to manufactures who then mould them into different shapes and
then released into the market as various products.
• This recyling process is not an easy task and the chemicals used in
the purification are expensive. It is easy for the melted materials to
be contaminated and this makes the whole process to be faulty hence hindering
the recycling process.
• This plastic recycling is of benefit to the earth as it helps to make
sure they are not left buried in the ground. When a plastic jar is recycled,
it has its life extending to become an entirely different product. If
performed right, the recycling process can have a life lasting expectancy.
With all this, you
should have a clue on what a plastic jar is and on the companies producing
and marketing them. You should also know about their importance in our
everyday life and how they can be kept forever instead of being destroyed.
